A message for our clients, prospective clients, colleagues and friends:
We hope that you and your loved ones are remaining safe and socially distant during this uncertain time. We wanted to provide an update on how COVID-19 is impacting the court systems, our firm, and your cases.
Court Closures and Continuances
As of March 17, 2020, the Circuit Court of Cook County continued civil jury trials for 30 days and most status hearings for 60 days. A Copy of Chief Judge Evans’ Administrative Order 2020-01 is available here. Other counties and the federal court system have similar continuances in place. These orders and continuances are changing frequently, and we are monitoring them daily.
We Remain Fully Operational
Our firm is fully operational, but given the recommendations of the CDC as well as Governor Pritzker’s recent Executive Stay At Home Order, we have initiated procedures that allow our attorneys and staff to work remotely from home. Fortunately, our attorneys and staff have access to all systems from home through a secure server.
New/Potential Clients
Rather than having an in-person new client meeting, we will be conducting these via phone. We will ask new clients to send or scan to us their medical records and other relevant documentation. New clients should call us for a free phone consultation at 312.236.9381.
