Power Rogers attorney Kate Conway was recently elected as the Second Vice President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI), meaning that Kate will serve as the 104th President of the WBAI in 2020.

“The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, one of the oldest and largest bar associations in the state of Illinois, was first established in 1914 by nine women lawyers practicing in the Chicago Metropolitan area,” according to the Association’s website. “It was founded to promote the interests and welfare of women lawyers and also to aid in the enactment of legislation for the common good and in the administration of justice.”

Kate is the latest attorney at Power Rogers to be appointed to a leadership position in the local and national legal communities. Joe Power, founding partner of the firm, is the current president of the Inner Circle of Advocates, a legal organization comprised of the 100 best plaintiff trial attorneys in the country, and previously served as the president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Celtic Legal Society, and the Illinois Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Similarly, Partner Larry Rogers, Sr. has served as the president of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Cook County Bar Association, serving as the former’s first African American president.
