Power Rogers congratulates Partner Kate Conway on receiving the 2022 Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service from the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association!

The Pro Bono Award is given annually to lawyers who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to pro bono representation before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Honorees are selected from nominations submitted by members of the bar and judiciary based on factors such as dedication to pro bono and public interest work, successful representation in complex cases, outstanding negotiation, and other elements of distinguished performance.

Kate was nominated for this year’s Pro Bono Award by Judge Gabriel Fuentes based on her representation of a disabled inmate who had filed a civil rights action after he was harmed by a corrections officer and denied equipment to accommodate his disability.

As a firm with a long history of representing clients in complex claims and civil rights lawsuits, our team at Power Rogers recognizes the importance of providing quality legal representation to those who would not otherwise have an advocate fighting for them. We congratulate Kate on her latest distinction, and thank Judge Gabriel Fuentes, Chief Judge Pallmeyer, Judge Nagle, and the federal court system for giving this award and honoring the importance of pro bono service.
